THE TELEVISUAL TOUR: E.S.P. TV COAST TO COAST
In April 2015, E.S.P. TV hosted its first coast to coast US tour. Complete with a fully outfitted ENG mobile broadcast van, the project covered over 7000 miles and 13 cities in the continued effort to collaborate, record, and broadcast performance, sound and media based works of art.
Our tour encompassed live taping events, exhibitions, screenings, and artists talks, in partnership with museums, galleries, project spaces, and DIY venues. Over 50 artists participated in this televisual project, by creating new works with a focus on transmission and simulation. In addition to live performances, we put together a traveling video program and have invited additional guest curators to program select events on the tour. Each unique interaction has been documented and archived, and released as an episodic series on our cable access program in Manhattan, as well as our website.
